Livelihood & Skill Development:

• Skills of the SHGs are built to develop take-up need-based suitable Enterprises, which include:

• Rearing of small Ruminants (Goat/Sheep) in Raghunathpur, Weaving, Juteropes, rope products making, Imitation Jewelry, Bangles, Fancy items in Ranapur Block of Nayagarh District;

• Garlic cultivation, Imitation Jewelry, Weaving, Soft toy making, Perfume making, Atta making, Turmeric powder, Pulses packing, Agarbathi making, Cardboard plate making, Bowl, Jute product making (e.g. rope), Plastic rope making etc. in villages of Begunia block, Khurda District;

• Vegetable growing, backyard plantation, medicinal plants herbs, Applique work in Puri district; &

• Agarbathi making, Candle making, Imitation Jewelry, Soft toy making, Embroidery, Bambooproducts(e.g.basket),Sanitary napkins etc. in the slums of Bhubaneswar.

• Computer literacy imparted to Adolescents under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

Climate Change, Energy & Disaster Management:

• Awareness generated for Conservation of Petroleum products in the fields of Agriculture, Domestic and Youth sectors.

• Created Awareness for the Conservation of Energy.

• Presented a paper on “Addressing the need for Alternative Fuels and Energy sources in the Slums of Bhubaneswar: The Case Study of Odisha Initiative” in the international conference “Beyond Firewood” held at Hotel Hyatt, New Delhi.

• Prepared Ward-level Disaster Preparedness Plan for 10 Wards in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.

Health:

• Creation of Health awareness in 200 slums in the State.

• 27Disabledchildrenhavebeenrehabilitated.
